Nicole Tanke – Photography from a Different Perspective

As an architectural photographer and visual artist, I create abstract photographic artworks inspired by patterns, lines and details found in everyday urban life. My vision is rooted in seeing the world differently — through angles, symmetry, and rhythm. What others overlook, I frame.

Since discovering the camera, observing perspectives has become second nature. Photography has taught me to see with new eyes — to pause, zoom in, and capture beauty where others might not look. My artistic language is defined by clarity, abstraction, and a fascination for structures.

I work both on commission and autonomously. In my autonomous art, I specialize in minimalist, abstract photography that resonates with architecture, urban design, construction, (nano)technology, and the aesthetic of modern industry.

Art Statement – The Beauty of the Everyday

After a burnout, I started living more consciously — and looking more deeply. My camera became a tool for healing, slowing down and connecting to the present moment. Through my abstract photography, I aim to reveal the poetry of daily life: shadows on pavement, steel beams, subway tiles, traffic structures, machines.

What may seem mundane becomes magnetic when you look through a different lens.
